B.E.T.T.E.R. Play BilliardsTM goal is to provide anyone with useful information about starting an after high school intramural billiard program in your local area. The students enjoy the program and the schools now have an alternative after-school sports program.

We have been serving the Dallas, Texas community since 1998. We specialize in junior and youth billiard programs which include the B.E.T.T.E.R. High School Billiard Program, BEF Junior National Qualifier Tournaments, and BCA Certified Billiard Instruction.

"Billiards offers a connection for some students who otherwise wouldn't participate in any enrichment activities. We are quite technical in our instruction, and learning proper mechanics exposes students to elements of physics, geometry and mathematics. We have been fortunate to have these tables donated, as they provide a valuable in-school teaching tool. The tables allow our physics and geometry instructors to demonstrate and teach their subjects in a way that students can relate to."
-Sam Jolly (Berkner High School, Teacher/Sponsor)

This is our 10th year developing and directing the pilot high school billiard programs here in the Dallas area. We have introduced billiards and started programs in six Dallas area Independent School Districts to i.e.

  1. Garland ISD,
  2. Richardson ISD,
  3. Rockwall ISD,
  4. Plano ISD,
  5. Frisco ISD,
  6. Wylie ISD

The high schools with prior and current billiard programs from these ISD's have included the following schools;

  • Berkner H.S.Rams,
  • Rockwall H.S. Yellowjackets,
  • Rowlett H.S. Eagles,
  • Sachse H.S. Mustangs,
  • Naaman Forest H.S. Rangers,
  • Garland H.S. Owls,
  • South Garland H.S. Colonels,
  • Wylie H.S. Pirates,
  • North Garland H.S. Raiders,
  • JJ Pearce H.S. Mustangs,
  • Frisco H.S. Raccoons,
  • Plano Senior H.S. Wildcats.
  • Richardson H.S. Eagles

Each year we assist senior high school members who are eligible to apply for Billiard Education college scholarships through the BEF. The requirement of all participating members in the billiard program is to pass to play. This has seen positive results. Parents, students, and teachers have recognized the educational benefits of the program. Some prior billiard student/athletes from previous years programs have gone on to play at the collegiate level. This 2010-2011 season we will be incorporating and implementing new techniques and ideas to stimulate student interest in science and physics using billiards as a teaching tool for physics teachers.

We work very close with the BEF to implement new programs that will assist schools with their billiard programs. All students have received professional billiard instruction from highly qualified BCA Certified Instructors.
